Locking a model
- When a creator 'locks' a model in Enduvo, the model's size and position are fixed.
- Essentially, the model becomes an immovable object or 'prop' in the immersive classroom.
- Use cases:
- Enlarge an aircraft cockpit to 'life-size' dimensions and then 'lock' it into place so that users can walk inside and tour the cockpit without accidentally grabbing and moving or resizing it.
- Place an exam table or dental chair in the center of the classroom and then 'lock' it into place so that users can then interact with an anatomy model on top of the table without accidentally moving the table as well.
Pinning a model
- When a creator 'pins' a model in Enduvo, the model's size and position are temporarily fixed to prevent users from accidentally moving the model.
- A creator or user can later 'unpin' the model to move or resize it, but the pin has to be intentionally 'released' or 'unlocked;' this helps prevent unintentional or accidental interaction with a model before you're ready.
- Use cases:
- Place an anatomy model on a dental chair and then 'pin' it into place temporarily to demonstrate correct syringe preparation and placement for injection. Later, unpin the model to reposition it for another procedure.
- Pin a skillet model in place on top of a stove-top model so that you don't accidentally move it when demonstrating how to flip a pancake with a spatula model. Later unpin the skillet model to place in into a sink model to demonstrate kitchen clean-up.
