Welcome to Enduvo! This article provides a comprehensive glossary to help you understand the unique terminology used within our software platform.
Content Terms
Content - This umbrella term refers to any experience or playlist in draft or published form.
Experience - In Enduvo, an Experience is a 5-minute or less unit of immersive content. It can be created, consumed, and published independently, or as part of one or multiple playlists. Experiences can convey only information or they may include related assessments. Structuring content in this manner supports a microcontent or microlearning architecture.
Playlist - A playlist is a collection of multiple experiences. For training use cases, instructors use playlists to create a lesson on a specific topic.
Assessments - Assessment questions are knowledge checks associated with individual experiences to reinforce or verify learning. At this time, Enduvo supports three assessment types:
- Multiple choice - The content consumer/learner chooses an answer from pre-defined options
- Object Selection - The content consumer/learner uses arrows to select the correct object from within the immersive setting.
- Scripted Sequence - The content consumer/learner performs one or more tasks in a series, by moving objects in the room (e.g., select the wrench from the toolbox and place it on the workbench).
Assets - Assets are the independent media file types ingested into Enduvo. Supported asset types include 3D Models, videos, images, documents, and audio files.
Environment/Scene - This term describes the "immersive virtual classroom" setting or the immersive space. e..g, a hangar, an operating room, etc.
Organizations and Users
Organization - An entity with an Enduvo subscription that contains one or more users. Paid organizations can create Teams.
Team - A group of users with access to a common set of published content.
Organization Owner - There is one owner per organization who can manage (modify, add, remove) the organization's three license types (admins, creators, or learners).
- Admin - Organization admins can add/remove creators or viewers.
- Creator - Creators can make/delete new experiences and playlists, publish/unpublish experiences and playlists, and create teams.
- Learner - Learners have read-only access to published experiences/playlists and can respond to assessments within those experiences/playlists. All users must have at least a learner account to view content on the Enduvo platform.
Platform Navigation
Discover - Users can see and search for featured experiences and playlists, and any content that has been published publicly.
Studio - The studio is the main workspace for creators. Here, they can create and edit new experiences and playlists. The studio maintains distinct spaces for draft (in-process) versus published experiences.
Library - The library maintains the history of recently viewed experiences and playlists.
Teams - This view displays all Teams to which a user belongs. Depending on their license type and how Team permissions were defined, the user may have read-only or publishing access to these teams.
